You have to love Barros pizza as they are always fast and friendly, and the pizza is always tasty and fresh. It's certainly not "gourmet" but it is good. They have one of the best lunch specials in Metro Phoenix. You can get two slices of pizza a drink and salad for approximately $10. I've been to several locations around the Valley, and the pizza is consistent and definitely hits the spot for lunch, and at other times, too.
I stop in here for an inexpensive lunch once or twice a week. It's faster than any drive-through to go and grab one or two slices and a drink. Today I'm going to see one of my patients who has brain cancer. He just found out he has to have another surgery this week and restarted his chemotherapy. He's tired, sick, nauseous and not really hungry so I thought of the most tasty thing I could get on the way up, and ordered a variety of pizzas. Even if he only wants a bite or two of a couple of slices, it will be a win.
Ordered a thin crust and regular pan pizza. Both were vegetarian and well made. Asked for light cheese and it was appropriately light! Did take-out and order was ready on time. Would definitely order again.
I ran into some old friends that happened to be in town at the same time I was so they invited me to have dinner with them here. It was my first time. I honestly had no idea what to expect. The place was really nice. Very clean very inviting with lots of seating options. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I took my first bit of a the pizza. The crust was just the right amount of crisp and crunch. It was beautiful. Combined with the sauce, the cheese, the toppings. Man it was a party in my mouth. I'm really glad I tried this place. I'll definitely be adding them to the list of must stop places in Phoenix!
Barro's is always my comfort pizza! There's something about the fluffy dough, the great, fresh toppings, the atmosphere of the restaurant that I just love. It's our go-to neighborhood pizza joint! Their salt and vinegar rub boneless wings are my new fav, and you can't go wrong with a white pizza! There's something for everyone at Barro's!
They have new gluten free crusts! Regualr and thin. Our location wasn't able to provide the ingredients for some reason so I called this location which we also frequent. Larrissa answered and said she had no issues helping us with ingredients. She provided the information right away. She also went out of her way to make sure the ingredient list was referring to both the thin and regular crust and it did. She is so sweet. I appreciate her making it so easy. She is always a joy when visiting this location. We love Barro's! Their gluten free pizza is honestly gluten free and not just gluten friendly. They use a designated area to make, its own are for cooking and tools strictly designated for cutting. Woot woot.
This was my first time having pizza in Arizona. It was a late night at my resort and since I didn't have a car, I had doordash deliver here. I got an XL pepperoni and mushroom and it was perfectly cheese and spread out with all the fixins. If you're in North Scottsdale, I'd recommend this place and their pizza. It's damn good.
